REThink Real Estate

In an ever-changing world,
what is the future of the real estate industry in 5 to 10 years?

How will this impact:

  • Consumers, including buyers and sellers?
  • Agents, brokers, and companies?
  • NAR, state and associations?

It’s an important focal question that the National Association of REALTORS® Strategic Planning Committee is asking of the membership, the leadership and industry as a whole.  And your answers, thoughts, opinions and reflections will be documented in order to set forth the direction of the future plans for the Association.

REThink workshops, or “experiences”, will be conducted throughout the country in the next several months.  If your Association is hosting one and you have the opportunity to attend, I highly recommend you take the time to do it.  It is a 4-hour event that takes you through some possible future scenarios of where the industry is.  This is not about the National Association of REALTORS®, but it is all about the industry itself.

The data being collected is working through a really cool technology called SayZu, where it creates real-time tag clouds of what people are saying/thinking right now.  The opinions you have to share, can be texted in, logged in through the web site or sent in through the experience site.

I’ve been fortunate enough to be selected by NAR to be one of their REThink Future workshop experience facilitators, so I have had some extensive training on the sessions as well as attended the experiences.  It thrills me that NAR is listening to the membership and the key industry players.

All industry players are invited and encouraged to attend, not just REALTORS®.  AG Beat even wrote a fantastic article about their experience that you can see here.  It is refreshing to see people get excited about this!

I implore you to visit the REThink Future web site so that you can learn more about this amazing way of planning for the future.  It’s soooo much better than having to read a 25+ page white paper on what the strat plan is.
