20 Internet Ways to Procrastinate Blogging (Or Working)

by Jessica Hickok on June 24, 2008

You can insert whatever you’d like in place of the word “blogging” in this title.  It doesn’t matter.  It’s just that I haven’t written a blog post in such a long time, that I thought I would share the 20 things that have caused the procrastination of writing a new post.

  1. Twitter. What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing? Doesn’t matter what I’m doing, it’s all about what my friends are doing.
  2. Facebook.  Cyberstalking at it’s finest.
  3. Yahoo! Answers.  This makes me feel like I am the smartest person on Earth.  And you collect points! Ooohh!  Points!  Something to collect!
  4. Seesmic.  Video Twitter.
  5. MixWit. Make my own tapes.  I’m sure you saw that blog post.
  6. PopSugar. Highly addictive, you’ll need a bolus of insulin.
  7. Flickr. Say cheese.
  8. Like.com.  Visual shopping!
  9. Oddee.  It’s hard to look away from the train wreck.
  10. Name Generator.  In case I ever need a stripper name on the fly.
  11. Hulu. This is how I got stuck on episodes of The Office.  Give me a hotel room with free wi-fi and I’m good!
  12. FineTune. Pandora. Last.FM.  Music lovers know the sites.
  13. Bubblewrap.  Obsessive nonetheless.
  14. Brightkite. Stalker tool with pictures.
  15. YouTube. Where else can you upload Money Dance videos of your boss?
  16. Wikipedia. Always in the know.
  17. Visual Dictionary.  Because I don’t always understand all of the parts to kitchen sink plumbing.
  18. Sribd. Read other people’s crap for inspiration.
  19. UStream.tv  Voyeurism at it’s finest.
  20. Crayola Digicolor. Because sometimes, the 8 year old girl in me never goes away.

So…add your own, stumble upon a few web sites…let me know what your favs are.  Afterall, until I get past the writers block (and I’m not even a writer!), this is the closest it’s gonna get to a compelling blog post.
