Have you Googled yourself or your business lately? Let me guess, you found yourself frustrated, on page 14 of 17 pages related to your search, right? 2 years ago, I did that same thing for the company (Dizmang Properties) that I work for and sure enough we were almost dead-last in the
Google ratings. That was at the same time that I was reading Scoble & Israel’s book, Naked Conversations. And I got a flash of inspiration. I finally realized that in this crazy Web 2.0 world, the more you blog, the more you get your name out there…the higher your Google ratings will be. I started blogging personally and corporately and within a year our Google ratings increased dramatically. I learned that search engines are constantly scraping fresh content from active web sites and when you are blogging, tagging, getting comments, and leaving comments on other blogs, your name gets out there. I very much believe that blogging is key to having active content on a site for search engine scrapes. A stagnant web site becomes stale and boring and no one finds it interesting once they’ve seen it. So even if you only blog once a week, you are still getting fresh content onto your site.
Now you might be thinking to yourself “I know I need an active online presence, and I know what a blog is, but how do I get all of this started?” That’s where I can help you. From any point be it square one or somewhat established…whether you’ve already got the produced video, you just need to post it in as many online places as possible, or maybe you’ve got the blog set up–you just need posts…I can do that. I’ve got a consulting package that I can e-mail to you and you can let me know where I can help you out. Leave me your comments, let me know what you think, and in the mean time increase your Google ratings!
