It is just frigid here in the middle of January in Springfield, MO. Granted it is not as bad as some of our northern counterparts, but still very very cold nonetheless. But I’m not here to discuss the weather on this blog although I seem to do that often. What can I say? I barely have a life outside of work and family. Anyway, here are some basic cause and effect concepts that are quite simple, but I feel obliged to share this information with all the whiner and complainers out there, like our Tenants.
Cause: negative weather temperatures resulting in bitter cold bone chills.
Effect: the natural action of pushing your thermostat up a few degrees in your home.
Cause: Keep your home warmer by increasing your thermostat a few degrees.
Effect: Higher utility bills.
Cause: Higher utility bills.
Effect: Does not mean that something is wrong with your furnace, or the duct system underneath your house.
(Not necessarily a cause/effect but still needs to be stated).
Cause: Living in an older home with the possibility of inefficient furnace/heat system.
Effect: Back rooms that are colder than normal. Suck it up buttercup and put on an extra blanket. Just because you live in an older home and have a heat system that is older, doesn’t mean that it is non-functioning. Stick it out, spring and summer will be here before you know it and then you will have a different temperature to complain about.
Cause: Higher utility bills
Effect: Less money for college students to spend on beer. And rent is still due, in the full amount, on the same day as it is always due.
Cause: Tenant’s Complain
Effect: Jessica Doesn’t Pay Attention.
