Working for someone who likes to have her calls screened, but who is also four doors and a hallway away, I frequently don’t know whether she is in or not. And if I go over to see if she’s there and she is and I don’t know the name of the person on the line, I will get the ‘headshake of disappointment’. So, yes, I want your name and yes, you’ll be on hold a minute while I find out if she’s even there.

By the way, those sentences I just wrote are the worst constructed sentences ever. But it’s early in the morning and I should actually be pushing out some letters.
