My name is Elsa and I have a son with type 1 diabetes.  he is 3 and a half years old.   In his case I can add another language, baby language.  He doesnt talk yet and it is extremely difficult to know what his blood sugar levels are. I therefor test him about 6 - 8 times a day.  I definitely agree that with all the medical break throughs, it&#039;s amazing that they havnt come up with a cure for type 1 diabetes! We are fortunate that he is on an insulin pump and this definitely helps a lot!
